How to talk to infants: and why it matters.

Talking with infants to build their future language and literacy skills can be difficult for some teachers. Talking with children not only increases their ability to use and understand language, but also builds brain development.

This training will focus on how to engage in back and forth conversations with infants.  Teachers will be provided with examples of how to talk with infants and practice their verbal and non-verbal interactions with infants.

Participants will leave the training with knowledge about why talking with children is important and practical skills for talking with children in the classroom
